Mediation
Mediation is a form of conflict resolution and is based on the voluntary agreement of the parties. A professionally trained, neutral mediator systematically facilitates communication between the parties with the aim of finding a solution to the conflict for which the parties themselves are responsible.
As an impartial legal advisor, the notary has experience in advising both parties to a legal transaction and ensuring a balance of interests. Specialist knowledge is required for mediation. Many notaries therefore have additional training as mediators.
